Ray & Pat Jagger (Owners)
Ray joined H. Morris Funeral Services in November 1965 after arriving from the UK with his wife Pat and their baby daughter Hazel. Ray’s father and grandfather were undertakers/casket makers in the UK. After leaving school Ray joined his father in the funeral business and later joined the police force. His love of funeral directing was always upper most in his mind and on emigrating from England to New Zealand, Ray applied for and got the job as a funeral director with H. Morris Funeral Services in Devonport.
 
Pat is the Administration Manager and has a passion for helping people whenever there is a need. This has never waned over time, not only working with Ray, but before when she was the Office Secretary at Glenfield Baptist Church. Pat is first and foremost a people person and embodies the core values of H. Morris Funeral Services: sensitivity, understanding, and a desire to help people in their time of need.
 
Ray and Pat now own H. Morris Funeral Services and have always made sure that their family values are implemented in the Company. We endeavour to make sure that all families are cared for in the way we would expect our family to be taken care of. Ray is a registered funeral director on the register of New Zealand Funeral Directors held by the  Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ). Ray and Pat worship at Glenfield Baptist Church.

 

 

Philip Jagger (Manager)
Philip was born on the North Shore in 1968 and is married to Colleen and they live in Birkdale.� He started his employment with H. Morris Funeral Services in January 1985 after leaving school. Believing in family values, Philip is highly dedicated to the families he attends to and is proud of the profession he works in. Like his father Philip has a passion for funeral directing and helping families in their time of need which is shown in the many comments and letters received from families. Funeral Directing is definitely in the Jagger family genes!

Philip holds the National Certificate in Funeral Service and is a registered funeral director on the register of New Zealand Funeral Directors held by the  Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ).

 

 

Hazel James (Catering Manageress)
Hazel is Ray and Pat’s daughter and came to work with them in the business in 1995 heading up the catering team. Hazel now is the Catering Manageress and heads up the team of ladies helping in the kitchen. Hazel is also the office Secretary working alongside Pat at reception. Hazel is married to Wayne and they have 3 grown up children. Hazel and Wayne worship at Albany City Church. Hazel gains great job satisfaction in helping people not only as head of the catering team, but also as Secretary answering the phone and being able to answer any questions asked of her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Luke Metcalfe
Luke was born at Browns Bay and now lives in Torbay with his wife Annette; they have 2 children. Luke served his country in the NZ Navy for 21 years before starting work in the funeral industry. He joined H. Morris Funeral Services in September 1989, and feels great job satisfaction in helping people on the North Shore in their time of personal need. This is shown in the number of comments and letters received from families.

 

 

Angus Brodie
Angus came to join the team at H. Morris Funeral Services in October 2006 after previously working for another local funeral company. Angus is a registered funeral director holding the National Certificate in Funeral Service and is also a qualified embalmer. He has been in the funeral profession for over 23 years. Angus lives in Birkenhead with his wife Fiona and two sons. His dedication, sensitivity and gentleness with families in their time of need is reflected in the number of comments and cards received from families.

Angus is a registered funeral director on the register of New Zealand Funeral Directors held by the  Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ).

 

 

Nelson Elliott
Nelson came to join the team at H. Morris Funeral Services in October 2007, prior to which he worked for another local funeral company. Nelson has a depth of knowledge in the funeral industry having been in the industry for over 30 years; he also holds the National Certificate in Funeral Service. Nelson is married to Sue and they live in Milford and together they attend at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Takapuna where Sue is the Church Director of music. Nelson has a great passion for helping people and this is shown in the many comments and letters received from families.

Nelson is a registered funeral director on the register of New Zealand Funeral Directors held by the  Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ).

 

 

David Wilkinson
David was born in Auckland and attended Pakuranga College and now lives in St. Heliers. David enjoys rugby and represented Auckland rugby at under 14 & under 15 representative level. David graduated Otago University in 2009 with his B Sc. in Human Anatomy and Structural Biology.
