Our Services

What can we do for you and your family?

At H. Morris Funeral Services we believe that every family has different needs, and that no two funerals are ever the same. A funeral is a celebration of a special and unique life and our funeral directors will guide you through the process so that your loved one’s life is appropriately honoured.

Funeral Options

Caskets

We have a wide range of beautifully crafted caskets to suit all of our clients' needs and budgets.

Hearses

Our hearses include 2 English hearses that were imported from the United Kingdom, the first in 2006. We also have the very first New Zealand built Holden hearse, built in Glenfield, Auckland by Bunce Coach Company. We as a company realised that some families would prefer something different to the Australian and American styles of hearse that are prevalent in New Zealand.

HMOR1S - Black 2006 Ford Cardinal

HM0RIS - Black 2008 Ford Cardinal

HMORIS - Silver 2008 Holden Classique
(This hearse was delivered to us in January 2009. We are proud to support local business.)

All our hearses are maintained to the very highest standard.

Catering

We have a fully equipped kitchen at Romaleigh and offer a range of catering menus. Our after-funeral catering enhances our service by providing a choice of menu and refreshments for family and friends.

We can also arrange catering for Church halls and private venues.

Headstones or plaques

The type of memorial available to you will depend on several factors:

Our office staff can help you with the ordering of a granite memorial (upright headstone or tilted desk memorial). We can also help with arranging a bronze plaque for either a burial plot or an ash memorial plot or on the Crematorium Memorial Wall. Memorials can be specifically created to suit a family’s preference.

Colour photos can also be fixed to a memorial. These photos are fused on to porcelain and can usually be ready to be attached to the memorial when the memorial is ready for installation on the burial or ash plot. A proof of the wording for a memorial is obtained and sent to a family before the go-ahead is given, for them to make sure that all the wording is correct.

 Photographic Life Tributes

While a funeral service is a time to farewell, it can also be a a time to celebrate the life of that special person.

Through combining your photographs and music, an E-ulogy Life Tribute is a special way to honour and celebrate the life of a treasured loved one.  It brings together milestones & memories, people & places, and provides a focal point during the service, which  becomes an everlasting and treasured keepsake.
